WW used to be a popular book series for kids by John Bittleston. You can know the story at Carto’s Magic Maps.
Closed Beta started in September or October. Open Beta started in November.
The game was released on Christmas Eve of 2009.
The difference between the closed beta hat and the open beta hat was that the open beta hat didn’t come with huge ears. And the open beta hat had more color choices. Closed Beta testers could get both hats. Open beta hats were only available for 2 day,while closed beta hats were available for like a week.

In January,the forums crashed in about January 10th. The whole site crashed on January 31st,Sunday,and the game didn’t get back up until 4 days later. Meanwhile,the staff contacted us through Twitter! The day after the game got back up,the forums and blog and Carto’s Magic Maps were back. But the game wouldn’t work. The game was fixed the next day.
